Windows Update Service Permanent Off করুন সহজেই

 To stop Windows 11 updates permanently, disable the Windows Update service and use the Group Policy or Registry Editor. Note that this disables vital security patches and may cause background services to misbehave. Proceed with caution.

Method 1: Disable the Windows Update Service

1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog. Type services.msc and press Enter.
2. Scroll down to find Windows Update. Right-click it and select Properties.
3. On the General tab, change the Startup type to Disabled.
4. Click the Stop button if the service status is running.
5. Switch to the Recovery tab. Change First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures all to Take No Action.
Click Apply, then OK. Restart your computer.

Method 2: Use Group Policy Editor (Windows 11 Pro/Enterprise)

1. Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage end user experience.
3. Double-click on Configure Automatic Updates.
4. Set it to Disabled. This forces all updates to be manual.
5. Click Apply and OK. 

Method 3: Edit the Registry (Windows 11 Home)

Warning: Modifying the registry can cause system instability if done incorrectly. 

1. Press Win + R, type regedit and press Enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
3. Right-click the Windows folder, select New > Key, and name it WindowsUpdate.
4. Right-click the new WindowsUpdate folder, select New > Key, and name it AU.
5. Click on the AU key. In the right pane, right-click any empty space and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
6. Name it NoAutoUpdate. Double-click it and change the Value data from 0 to 1. Click OK.
7. Restart your PC. 

Method 4: Set Connection as Metered (Simple, temporary fix)

1. Open Settings (Win + I) and go to Network & internet.
2. Click on your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
3. Toggle the Metered connection switch to On. This will prevent Windows from auto-downloading large updates over this connection.
